Alexander is an extremely hard worker.  He is kind, helpful, and does his best every day. His dedication shows in improvements in reading & math.

When I grow up I want to be… a soccer player

Most students impress us by rising 3-4 reading levels in a year, but Carlos jumped 6 levels this year!  He is a phenomenal reader and a hard-worker!

When I grow up I want to be… an athlete, any sport – I like sports!

Deibin never misses homework club.  He is so smart, helpful, kind, respectful, and a hard worker.  We can’t wait to see what he will do in middle school.

Dyllan is a champion of reading. His vocabulary and reading ability is beyond his age. He also has a great sense of humor and brings many smiles to the faces of his friends and tutors.

When I grow up I want to be… a doctor, which I can achieve by working hard in school to get a good education.

Emily understands the benefit of hard work and dedication to her studies. As a result, she has seen consistent success in her grades.  Emily is a quiet, friendly student who is always willing to help others.

Java is a joy. She is maturing and growing ready for 1st grade. She’s an excellent reader and comes in every day, does her work and enjoys a good rapport with the volunteers and staff. She’s helpful and a good listener.

When I grow up I want to be…a restaurant manager, which I can do by achieving all my goals, passing all my degrees, earning money.

Jovani realizes that hard work is necessary in order to excel. He asks for skill builders in areas where he needs extra help.  He is very respectful and sensitive to others’ feelings.

Michael is an ambassador of Corners Outreach, investing much of his time and even assets into CO.  Last year for Giving Tuesday, Michael donated a Smart TV to help us raise money for Corners.
